Roatán 2019 — CoCo View Resort
Trip Summary
Our first CoCo View run and one of the anchor trips in the Hold My Spear log. Drew completed his PADI Open Water checkout dives in the Front Yard while the crew settled into CoCo View’s rhythm — bikes to the oceanfront villas, lockers for gear, orientation dives on the house reef, and unlimited access to Newman’s Wall and the Prince Albert wreck.
The week included wall dives at Pinnacle Point and Anka’s Place, a dedicated lionfish spearfishing course, and a three-tank lionfish hunt day that filled Zookeepers and logbook pages. It’s the trip that made Roatán and CoCo View part of the long-term rotation.
